Hetty Joustra is orthopedagoog, GZ-psycholoog, Cognitief gedragstherapeut en supervisor VGCt. Daarnaast is zij gecertificeerd docent en supervisor Pivotal Response Treatment (level V) en geeft zij sinds 2010 PRT cursussen, workshops en supervisie. Zij is werkzaam vanuit haar eigen praktijk (PRT centrum).
